About

Rotary Youth Exchange provides more than 8,000 teenagers each year an adventure of a lifetime: a chance to live, learn and become a true part of a new family, culture and way of life as a high school foreign exchange student.

North Star Rotary Youth Exchange, which encompasses south-central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin (Rotary Districts 5950 and 5960), provides this opportunity to eager, ambitious high school students — both to come to our area to experience American life, or to go abroad to one of about  33 countries around the world.

This program is a part of Rotary International, a worldwide service club that promotes peace, goodwill and understanding on local, national and international levels. Rotary members perform community services in their local communities (such as providing scholarships, maintaining parks or helping food shelves) and around the world (such as clean water initiatives, PolioPlus vaccinations and youth projects).

The Rotary network includes 31,000 clubs in 166 countries with 1.2 million members.
