North Star Youth Exchange

August 11, 2010

It was a true launch party — nearly 80 former exchange students, Rotarians and friends set sail on Lake Minnetonka to celebrate youth exchange and our new identity as North Star Youth Exchange.

The logo and new name was unveiled to cheers.

“We wanted something that would show that we’re more than just a district number,” said immediate past district chair Chysanne Manoles of the former name, Rotary Youth Exchange 5950-5960.”North Star shows the heritage of our area, but also speaks to the great journeys that exchange students take.”

Expect to see the North Star name on posters, pins, brochures and websites.
